Bach's Baroque Blender II
with composers/performers Alphonse Izzo and Istvan Peter B'Racz
"Bach's Baroque Blender"- (acoustic and electronic mash-ups of Bach 2-Part Inventions) composer Istvan Peter B'Racz: piano/keyboards/electronics; and composer Alphonse Izzo: guitar/electronics... Fun, odd, and intended for a wide group of curious listeners.... An example: B'Racz took the 10th invention ("Olde Tuun/PinballMIX..1"), turned it upside-down, re-keyed it, and re-composed it for guitar and piano adding substantial connective-tissue between each Bach note, and then had a second section in which the 2 instruments "pinball" through their parts to the end. Izzo took the same invention, and created a work using chance, rules, and dice. The results were two extraordinarily different works that both came from the same genetic "father". www.soundunderground.org for general and concert info
